BOOCHEVER, Chief Justice. OPINION. This is a civil appeal from a judgment entered against the City of Whittier for breach of contract. The following issues are presented: (1) did the superior court err in denying the City of Whittiers motions for directed verdict, judgment notwithstanding the verdict and new trial because the damages were unforeseeable or uncertain; (2) did the superior court err in denying a new trial because the verdicts were inconsistent; (3) did the superior court err in giving certain jury instructions because the instructions implied that damages were, in fact, sustained and (4) did the superior court err in granting pre-judgment interest? We find error as to some of the damages awarded and the granting of pre-judgment interest.
